Assignment Notebooks:
Every child must have an assignment notebook. The first one is given to each student. If it gets lost, a new one will need to be purchased from the school. Any classroom assignments, homework, tests, projects, and important events will be written in the assignment notebook every day. Every student will take his or her notebook home EVERY night. After homework and studying is completed, a parent should check over the work, then SIGN the assignment notebook. I check each notebook every morning for signatures and any notes that may be written.
If any homework is late, the assignment notebook will be stamped "LATE" next to the assignment.
Binder Buddy:
Every child has a Binder Buddy. This contains their homework folder and assignment notebook. This will be brought home every night with papers to leave at home, work that needs to be finished and brought back to school. Be sure to bring the entire binder and its contents back to school every day.
Flash Cards:
Every student needs a set of multiplication and division flash cards at home to study their facts. Facts should be studied every day for 5-10 minutes.
Newsletters:
A newsletter will be set home on the last day of each week. It will have the next week's spelling words listed and other important information.
