• During this time, District 61 transportation will be operating under strict guidelines from the CDC and the IDPH. We will try to accommodate all students as best we can. However, we ask that families are flexible and understanding of any transportation changes that may occur.

    • Up to 50 people are allowed to be on a school bus at a time.
    • A mask must be worn by all students and personnel on a school bus
    • All students will have an assigned seat
    • Siblings who ride the same bus will sit together
    • Absolutely no eating will be allowed on the bus unless you have a medical exemption
    • Buses will be sanitized after every route in the morning and afternoon.
    • If you need to take your child off the bus, please contact your school office by 9:00am of that day.

IMPORTANT: With these guidelines in place, students will only be permitted to ride on their designated bus to and from school. A student will not be permitted to ride on a different bus at any time.

With the mandates and guidelines in place, bus space is limited. If you initially signed your student up to be a bus rider but do not plan to use the bus, please let the transportation department know as soon as possible. Also, to limit exposure, we encourage families to drop their students off at school if possible.
