Mrs. Milissa Winkel
I am Milissa Winkel. I have a husband, four children, a dog, and a cat.
I earned my K-9 teaching certificate in 1999 from Olivet Nazarene University. I began my first teaching job at Nash Middle School in August 1999. I taught seventh grade language arts for three years. In 2002 my husband and I decided it best for our growing family for me to be mostly at home. I worked part time subbing in grades k-8.
In the Spring of 2013, I earned my LBS1 endorsement, giving me the eligibility to teach special education. The following Fall, I went back to work full-time working as a k-4 resource teacher. I stayed in special education four years.
For the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years, I taught kindergarten at Chebanse Elementary.
In 2016, I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement.
I have been the ESL teacher at Bradley Central since August of 2019. I teach all three grade levels in EL Advisories. I co-teach in the general education classes part of the day as well.
I love teaching Bradley students and look forward to continuing to grow relationships with students throughout the school as well as my EL families.
