I grew up in Naperville, IL but I arrived in Bourbonnais, IL in 1996 to attend Olivet Nazarene University.  I earned a bachelor's degree in accounting in 2000, but I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I immediately went back to school to get my master's degree in teaching and began teaching 5th grade in 2003 in Bolingbrook, IL.  I quickly developed a passion for teaching reading when I realized that giving my students the gift of literacy would empower them to be anything they could dream of.  I came to Bradley School District in 2011 to teach 4th grade and be closer to home after the birth of my daughter, Delaney.  I now have two more children, my son Orion and my son Bodhi.  I earned my masters in reading in 2014, and I love teaching reading at Bradley West!
