Welcome to Ms. Boehrnsen's (aka Ms. B) website!
I am so excited to start my 5th year at Bradley West Elementary and my 10th year in school social work! I received my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies in the spring of 2007 from the Univeristy of Illinois Urbana Champaign. My master's degree in social work was also obtained through the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in the spring 2009. My role as the school social worker is to work with students and families to meet their social, emotional, and behavioral needs as this concerns and needs relate to school. The Center is a comprehensive outpatient-counseling agency that provides mental health counseling services and therapy to children, adolescents, and adults who live and work in Kankakee County. Helen Wheeler also provides crisis screenings for adolescents (SASS) and adults.
