Welcome to Math!

Hello! My name is Melissa Martin, and I am the 6th-grade math teacher at Bradley Central Middle School. I began my teaching career in 2018 and started at Bradley Central in 2021. 

I grew up in Grant Park, and following high school, I attended Lincoln College as a collegiate athlete in softball and volleyball. I earned my Associate's degree and transferred to Olivet Nazarene University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in 5-8 mathematics. I am currently in a master's program at Western Governors University and will receive my Master's degree in Math Education in 2023.

I reside in Momence with my husband Adam, our son Emmitt, our dog Juno, and our cat Belle. I come from a large family, the middle of five children, and I have fourteen nieces and nephews. My hobbies and interests include: spending time with my family, binge-watching shows, being involved in sports and theater, and I love everything strawberry!

I am excited about working at Bradley Central and look forward to a wonderful school year!
