This upcoming year, the Spelling Bee contestants will be selected and notified by Thanksgiving; practice will begin in December. The school bee will be held at BC in late January, and the top two spellers from each grade level will have the opportunity to advance on to other area bees (the County Bee in February, and the Kan-Will Bee in March).
