2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR ONLINE REGISTRATION
We are pleased to announce the opening of Online Registration for returning Bradley School District 61 students for the 2024-25 school year. Beginning Monday, May 20th, parents/guardians will be able to register your returning Bradley School District 61 students online.
Parents/guardians should have received a letter in the past few weeks containing information about Online Registration. Included were instructions needed to complete Online Registration for returning student(s); those instructions are also listed here. Please complete the Online Registration for each returning students as soon as possible.
Note: We have changed our payment options for Online Registration. Parents/guardians can choose to pay at the time of registration with a Debit or Credit Card -OR- choose to have an invoice sent. If using a Debit or Credit Card, you must do so while completing the Online Registration.
Parents must use the parent portal, our online registration system, to register students for school. Online registration closes for returning students at 10:00PM, Friday, July 26th.
Fee's Day for New & Returning Students will be held at Bradley West in the gym from 7:00AM-6:30PM on August 8th.

New to District Registration
Parent Portal Registration Instructions (Returning Students)
- Open an Internet browser on your computer or tablet.
- Navigate to http://besd61.powerschool.com/public
- Enter the username and password for your parent portal account. Once logged in, Skip to Step 9.
- If you are unsure of your username or password - click the Forgot Username or Password? link at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions listed.
- Click the "Create Account" button at the bottom of the page. Complete the fields on the top half of the page. Be very careful when entering your password. Write it down before entering one to be sure it meets the password requirements listed below the Re-enter Password box.
- To link a student to your account, enter the student's name, Access ID, and Access Password, listed below, into the appropriate fields. Select your relationship to the student from the dropdown menu.
- If you have other students in grades 1 through 8, add their names, Access IDs, and Passwords to the list. You can also add additional students after you have logged in for the first time.
- Click the blue "enter" button to finish creating your account.
- Once your account is created, enter the username and password you chose for your Parent Portal account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete each section. Any field marked with a red asterisk is required. Click the Next button after completing each page.
- Correct any missing information marked REQUIRED on the Review and Submit page by clicking on the red REQUIRED link until all fields are filled in.
- Click the submit button.
Residency Requirements
Bradley School District Board Policy requires you to prove residency before enrolling your child in the district. During Online Registration, you do not have to show residency if you still reside in the same residence as the 2023-2024 school year.
If you are on an affidavit (living with another person, family, etc.) from the 2023-2024 school year, or have changed addresses but still live within the Bradley School District during the year, you will need to contact the Registration Department (contact info below) to set up an appointment to prove residency to your school building administrator before your online registration can be processed.
If you are on an affidavit, the owner of the home must be present and sign a district affidavit. This process shall happen every year. Please contact the owner in advance so they can be in attendance during your meeting. Unique situations will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Bradley School District 61 has the right to check residency anytime during the school year. (District Policy 7:60)
It is important that only the parent or legal guardian completes the online registration for each student.
Please bring with you the following acceptable information to show residency if you have moved:
- Current State or Government Issued Photo ID
- One of the following:
- Mortgage Payment Receipt/Book of Parent or Legal Guardian
- Current Property Tax Bill of Parent or Legal Guardian
- Rent Receipt or Lease/Rental Agreement of Parent or Legal GuardianHouse Closing Documents
- One of the following with Current Name and Address:
- Utility Bill - (Water, Electric or Gas)
- Vehicle Registration
- Current Paycheck Stub
All proofs of residency must be current (within 30 days). Rent receipts must have the landlord's name, address, and phone number for verification.
If you have not proven your residency at the school office, you will need to do so before you register a new student.

Authorization for Electronic Network Access Form
Students must have a parent/guardian read and agree to the following before being granted unsupervised access:
All use of the Internet shall be consistent with the District’s goal of promoting educational excellence by facilitating resource sharing, innovation, and communication. The failure of any user to follow the terms of the Acceptable Use of Electronic Networks will result in the loss of privileges, disciplinary action, and/or appropriate legal action. The signatures at the end of this document are legally binding and indicate the parties who signed have read the terms and conditions carefully and understand their significance.
I have read this Authorization form. I understand that access is designed for educational purposes and that the District has taken precautions to eliminate controversial material. However, I also recognize it is impossible for the District to restrict access to all controversial and inappropriate materials. I will hold harmless the District, its employees, agents, or Board members, for any harm caused by materials or software obtained via the network. I accept full responsibility for supervision if and when my child’s used is not in a school setting. I have discussed the Acceptable Use of Electronic Networks with my child. I hereby request that my child be allowed access to the District’s electronic network, including the Internet.
Students must also have a parent/guardian read and agree to the following before being granted supervised access:
My child understands and will abide by the above Authorization for Electronic Network Access. I understand that the District and/or its agents may access and monitor my child’s use of the Internet, including their email and downloaded material, without prior notice to them. I further understand that should my child commit any violation, their access privileges may be revoked, and school disciplinary action and/or legal action may be taken. In consideration for using the District’s electronic network connection and having access to public networks, I hereby release the School district and its Board members, employees, and agents from any claims and damages arising from my child’s use of, or inability to use the District’s electronic network, including the Internet.
Central Parent Compact 2024-2025
Bradley Central School and the parents of the students participating in activities, services, and programs funded by Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) (participating children), agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards.
School Responsibilities
Bradley Central School will:
Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as follows:
To help each student succeed, we agree to carry out the following responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction by teaching the Illinois Learning Standards
- Demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude
- Enforce school and classroom rules fairly
- Create a warm, safe and caring learning environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Respect the school, students and families
Hold parent-teacher conferences during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement. Specifically, those conferences will be held:

- During the school registration process, you may select to be a volunteer in some capacity for our students. We will contact you if needed to complete the process.

At Bradley East it is important that families and schools work together to help students achieve high academic standards. Through a process that included teachers, families, students and community representatives, the following are agreed upon roles and responsibilities that we as partners will carry out to support student success in school and in life.
School Responsibilities Bradley East School will:
Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as follows:
- Uninterrupted reading and math blocks
- Social and Emotional learning standards
- Curriculum that is aligned to state standards
- Maintain high expectations for learning
- Communicate regularly with parents on student progress
- Provide a safe learning environment.
- Provide professional development to improve teaching and learning.

Preschool Registration Information
For new to district PreSchool students who have attended a PreSchool Screening.
July 22nd: 8am-Noon & 4pm-6pm
What to bring for all students:
- Current Utility Bill (Water, Gas, or Electric)
- Current Driver's License with correct address
- Current Mortgage, Lease Agreement or Tax Bill
- Child's Certified Birth Certificate
- Current physicall and up to date immunizations.
- Proof of income (2 most current pay stubs or 2023 Tax Return)
Kindergarten Registration Information
For new to district Kindergarten students who did not attend Bradley East PreSchool. Children must be 5 years old before September 1, 2024.
July 22nd: 8am-Noon & 4pm-6pm
Please bring your child to the screening as all students will be screened.
